That fan was a very nice gift. I like cash too. My favorite gift when I graduated from college was going out to eat with my future inlaws. They were very kind to me and drove 2 hours to see me graduate and then we were all able to go out to dinner. That was a very nice gift. Sometimes, you do'nt have to spend a lot of money, just time and consideration.

They look great. Cash was always my favorite gift, so that I could get what I needed. All of the churches that we have attended have always given the graduates a nice Bible. Last year the graduates were fortunate to get a really nice $50-60 Bible. My hubby was thrifty and found it on clearance for $15!!!

I was just telling my kids that the best graduation present I ever got I still use several months out of the year. I graduated from college in 1975, so this is one OLD present, but it is a total and complete lifesaver and I love it. LOVE IT.

What could it be, you wonder. A nice, big, fan. A window fan. It is dual direction and has a 'thermostat' that can direct how fast or slow you want it to go. It also has 3 speeds. It fits in the entire bottom of a double sash window. When it is on high, it's like a 40 mph wind. It can cool off a whole floor of a house.

I think this was probably an expensive fan initially, because it's heavy and sturdy and metal, not plastic. Made by Honeywell.

I love it and when it eventually dies, I will be bereft because I have never seen a better fan.
