Gas prices are finally decreasing!

Finally!  The gas prices have started going down.  Now maybe it won’t cost me $30 to fill up the tank.  Prices here where I live are $2.39/gallon.  I had to laugh though because I went to pick up a friend and the gas station read $2.31/g and when I came back, the sign read $2.39.  Now I know the supply of gas didn’t shrink that fast.  I wonder how they really determine the price per gallon?  The price so far has dropped $.60 on average.

They’re dropping here as well, world oil prices have dropped by $20 US a barrel in the last few weeks, and touch wood they keep falling. You must have a small car though for it to only cost $30 to fill up, we own a 3 door Toyota Echo, pretty much the most thrifty car on the market (although now replaced here by the Yaris) and it still costs me about $35-$40 (USD) to fill up.

I actually have a Chevy Lumina with a gas tank of 13 gallons and I only go around 250 miles on a tank before I fill it up. I can now fill it up for around $30. By the way, the Echo and Yaris are so cute. Way to go!

I am very excited about gas prices dropping, however, we pay more here because the NC tax on gasoline. I think a few weeks ago I emailed you an article from CBN breaking down the price of gas. I will have to see if I can find it. It was interesting.
