I just read the funniest piece over at SanLuisObispo.com and for those of you into saving money, and who are getting married soon, or even not, this is a must-read. While many of us in the money saving blogosphere attempt to help you save money with handy how-to tips, this hilarious piece covers some truly terrible ways to save money on your wedding.
My favorites:
Tip number 3 – “Marry via Skype, or Twitter your vows.“: Hahahahaha! As a blogger who is pretty much entrenched in all things social media, I’m actually surprised that I haven’t noticed an official Twitter wedding yet. We do everything else on there; job hunt, chat, learn to raise our kids, why not get married on there too? Because it’s a BAD, bad idea!
Tip number 4 – “BYOB.“: Lordy. I suppose if you were a bachelor marrying another bachelor, this tip might make perfect sense. Otherwise, though, no.
You won’t believe the other fun ideas writer Jeff Wilser came up with. If you’re in need of an end of the week laugh, head over and read The 10 Worst Ways to Save Money at Your Wedding.
