The Couponizer is an amazing organizational system for anyone who collects coupons. If you spend your shopping mornings going through your big old coupon envelope or sorting through your purse at the checkout line, you’ll want this handy tool.
The Couponizer is a small blinder filled with pockets all of your coupons. Each pocket is marked according to need. There are pockets for baking and staples, breakfast items, canned good – anything you need. Plus there are pockets for restaurants, the coupons that are about to expire, the coupons you’re about to use, even a pocket for receipts.
The Couponizer also comes with scissors, a carrying case, a coupon sorting mat, a shopping list pad and savings tracker.
One of the reasons many people don’t clip coupons is because it’s too much of a hassle, The Couponizer makes it less of a hassle. Once a week is all it takes to organize your coupons and then all you have to do is keep The Couponizer in your glove compartment and purse.
The Couponizer retails for $18.00 and is well worth the price.
Would you like to try the Couponizer? I’m going to give one away! To enter post a money saving tip in the comments. Work it people. One or two word answers don’t count – drop a paragraph telling us your best money saving tip. Add your opinion to other tips posted here. The best bit of advice given to us before 11:59PM on Saturday, April 26th wins. We’ll choose the winner on Sunday.

There are so many money savign tips out there, but one of the best is buying bruised fruits and vegetables. They just came out with an article stating that slightly over-rip fruit and vegetables have more or certain healthy nutrients than when they are fresh.
I use them to make salsa, tomato sauce, fruit salad…I just cut around the bruised over-rip parts!
I would love this. When it comes to my family we have stopped eating out all the time, stopped making purchases for items we don’t “need” and just buy the basics.

Oh, my coupons really need a new home!
My money saving tip is to make my own baby products. I have always made my own baby food (steam veggies and blend, then freeze in ice cube trays), but it took me four babies to decide to make my own baby wipes. There are many recipies for wipes out there. I haven’t invested in any essential oils yet, so mine just have baby wash and baby oil in them. You have to experiment a bit with amounts depending on what paper towels you use. With Viva big roll I use 2 c water, 2T baby wash, 2T baby oil. With any other paper towels, I have to use less.
I buy my meat in bulk, like a side of beef. It cost less in bulk and you get better cuts of meat. You get soup bones with the beef. You can make vegetable soup from any leftover vegetables you acumulate throughout a month by keeping a tupperware bowl in the freezer and putting all your leftover vegetables in it as you go.
I really need this, I have so many coupons to organize, it’s driving me crazy and my family crazy. My family keeps telling to get the coupons out of the way or they end of throwing them away before I can get to them. I have to be fast to get them. I look for money saving coupons where you can get $25 off if you purchase $75 worth of items and if I’m lucky they may also have BOGO at the store. I was able to get an outfit for my mom worth $200 for $20 because of clearance, coupon, and BOGO.
I was so excited!
Great giveaway! Thanks for offering!
My best tip is sort of an add on to what’s already been said. I like the idea of buying in bulk and using coupons to get free or nearly free items when used in conjunction with sales. But as a small family of four, I’ve found that the all the low cost items I stocked up on, if I didn’t use them up all up, I ended up tossing them. My advice is to be realistic about what you need. 10 items at 20cents is a good deal, but if you can only realistically use about 2-3 items, wouldn’t it be better to save that extra $1 or so. I think it adds up in the long run! Just my two cents. As a couponer, the organizer sounds great!

I need this so badly! My old coupon organizer is falling apart. I had to staple it together just this morning.
We stick to the list!!

Ohh…I’m just getting into coupons, so this would be great.
First if you have a coupon……use it and see if they can be piggybacked!
Second if you have a product that you like, find the website and email them giving them a compliment (or a complaint if the need be) and they will usually send an FPC or some kind of coupon.
Buy only what you NEED, we waste so much money on stuff we don’t NEED.
ps. always take cloth bag for groceries and even little mesh ones for produce, bulk items, etc. Earth day is Tuesday!!
Grocery stores and manufacturers are always pulling sly ones over on shoppers. If you collect a coupon the item will usually go on SUPER SALE within 2-3 weeks. Most shoppers miss out on the deals because they are too impatient to wait for the REALLY good SUPER SALES. These usually pop up under dollar or buy one get one sales that happen after the big push sales. I’ve noticed CVS and Walgreen sometimes clean up right after the main stream stores have their sales.
For those of you who get one. Put your newspaper coupons to work by swapping with others. On average we discard over 3/4 of the inserts because the products in them do not appeal to us. I spread mine among budget crunched friends.
Check out the free online sites like Cool Savings, Sheknows, various manufacturer sites and banner ads pay off. Freestufftimes.com is consistently a good source of free samples and coupons.
Good hunting guys!
you should see the mess that is my coupon organizer. this is a gift i would absolutely love! thank you!!!
First, let me say that I think this looks fantastic! My best money saving tip is using coupons at stores that double and even triple them when the item is already on sale! So, essentially being a really smart shopper!
Thanks for a great contest!
I so need this! I’ve been doing the GroceryGame and would love a better way to organize all those coupons!
Best tip is
1. clip coupon.
2. Use frequent buyer card
3. buy one, get one free
4. pay with credit card with rebate.
Combined you get a double, triple, quadruple the distance out of your dollar.
5. Save upc’s off of the products when the manufacture has rebates / free gifts / point redemption or maybe entry into a contest .
6. Save receipts to use with Upromise College 1-25% ave 12.5%
Yet one more way to continue stretching that dollar. Making your 1 dollar work like 5.
EXP:
100 original bill
BOGO = 50 savings
coupon est of 20% of cost = 10 min saved
Frequent buyer 1 % = .50 min earned
Credit card rebate 1 % = .50 min earned
UPC point 1% = .50 min earned
Upromise 1 % = .50 min earned
Total saved = $63 min earned/ saved so 100 cost 37. OR almost 1/3.
I have once walked out with the groceries costing me zero. Coupons ONLY. SO rebates & points & Upromise was free cash up and beyond cost. They ended up paying me to buy their products that day.
I’d love to be entered. I’ve only be couponing and CVSing for a little over a month and have gotten stocked up enough now that I’m seeing my grocery bill start to dwindle.
My tip is to read about others CVS trips and their scenario suggestions. It will help you develop better skills at seeing how it all works and ways to save even more.
This is great! I tried over the weekend to get my coupons organized. Didn’t happen!
My tip is…. use CVS and Wallgreens. You can really get some good stuff for VERY little money or even no money at all!
Oh this would be perfect, as I’m a new couponer just getting started.
Thanks
My best money saving tip is to educate yourself on how to beat the system. Except for edible and perishable items, I do all of my shopping at CVS (stockpile & giveaway items). There, I receive Extra Care Bucks for certain items which I am then able to turn around and use to buy more items. Basically, I get stuff free, on CVS’ tab! It has saved me SOOOOO much money!
I would love to be entered!
My best money saving tip to be content…I try to use what we already have instead of buying more, being happy with paying cards instead of going out all the time…things really add up!
I know everyone says this, but it really does save me money…Don’t go shopping when you are HUNGRY!! Thanks!
I shop for the products that are on sale in the local flyer each week and with the coupons I have saved for that product. The best time is when the store has double coupon weekend. That isn’t very often but sure helps. I once purchased over $100. worth of groceries for $15. I like to stock up my pantry with all my savings.
I shop with my local flyer and coupons. I stock my pantry with all my savings. Double coupon day is my greatest savings.
My tip is this: only clip coupons for products you actually use. We spent so much money on products that I thought were neat because I had a coupon for it … it ended up not saving us anything. When I started only cutting out the coupons for items we already use (or already wanted to try), I noticed how much our bill went down.
Compare size to price, to get the best deal according to weight/number of servings per dollar. What might seem to be the better deal price wise, sometimes turns out to not be so much the best buy, when it comes down to how many people one can feed for the money.
buy bulk most of the time its cheaper
Mine is to watch for lowest prices available and stock up. An example is a 24 pack of water which sometimes can get for $2.99, we have 12 cases stacked up to last us awhile.
My money saving tip is to cook as much from scratch as possible. Avoid convenience foods. I also shop for my pantry/freezer for the most part and plan my meals from there, rather than planning my meals first and then shopping for those items. It’s much easier to take advantage of sales that way.
Get the CVS card – somethings they actually pay you to get if you have a coupon!
This would beat using an envelope for the coupons. I’ve been a cutter for years.
Throwing my name in the hat!
I stock up on kid’s toys, especially when they are on sale. Then when we are invited to a birthday party, I don’t have to rush out to get a gift. My daughter and I make the birthday card, and we reuse gift bags or come up with another creative way to wrap it.
I also make gifts whenever possible. A nice crocheted belt might cost $5 in material and a few hours of my time, but would be so much more appreciated than a store bought one.
Great idea!
Since getting into blogging, I’ve been reading about a lot of different money saving tips. One is to use baby wipes a second time. We cloth diaper, but once in a while need to use disposable wipes. It makes me feel better because I’m not being wasteful for the environment, but I am also saving money by not buying them as often.
Buying in bulk and freezing meals can also save you money. Just make sure it is cost effective!
Please add my name to the hat.
I organize in my sleep. This would be great for me.
I’m always cutting coupons and organizing them.
For one month and all three meals we used all sorts of free coupons to buy one dinner get one free etc. We spent less on food in that month than I normally do when I shop weekly.
Of course we can’t live on coupons but it was an interesting challenge.
Don’t go grocery shopping hungry!
I started saving lots of money when I realised how inexpensive it is to buy ONLY WHAT YOU NEED! Ta-da! And making more items I need by hand! The couponizer would come in real handy with our household!
This would go to my MIL because she needs it! lol Here is my tip-
You aren’t saving money if you just buy an item because you have a coupon and it doesn’t help if you can’t find the coupons you need.
That is why my MIL needs this!
These may seem small, but I try to turn off the light if we aren’t in the room and reusing plastic bags (that didn’t have something gross in them). I buy mostly store brand stuff ’cause it’s cheaper. I would love this couponizer – right now my coupon organizers are paper clips! : )

Always look for BOGO items and use a coupons for EACH item- it saves alot of money!
my coupons need this as do I
The only way I know to save is to not go into any stores and if you must go into one never take more then $5.00 and no charge cards.
The best money savings tip, is to just stay home.
Instead of making the same recipes in season and out, use the things that are in season and on sale at your favorites stores.
If you aren’t familiar with the ingredients, or you want a new way to prepare them, consider using a website like
http://www.supercook.com/index.asp
to get more ideas. Super Cook can be used as a guest for a one time recipe idea, or you can sign up (for free) and enter all the items you keep on hand in your kitchen, then highlight the ones you want to use to get recipes that include them.
My best money saving tip is to never go shopping. It’s the ONLY way I can spend less.
Thanks for the giveaway!
I buy bulk, make a huge meal and eat it for lunch and/or dinner every day until it is gone. I only have to buy 2 big meals a week.
I doubt that my tips are particularly original but here you go:
1. I always make a list, detailed, for the grocery. I divide everything into the sections of the store on the list as well (dairy, freezer, cans, etc). It cuts down time in the store and keeps my eye from wandering down aisles/sections that I don’t need to.
2. Buy generic on the things that don’t matter to you. I can’t taste the difference between generic and name brand most of the time.
3. Buy local, in season and freeze whatever you don’t need for later (this doesn’t work all that well with my itty-bitty freezer but some day I hope to have a stand alone freezer).
4. Set a timer for your shower (you’d be amazed how much time you waste in the shower and hence on hot water).
5. Shower with someone (I’m still trying to make this more time efficient… if distractions weren’t so easy!)
Make a menu and shop from the list of what you need. As well try and go meatless for a few meals a week. Does you good and saves you money!
