Couponizer

The Couponizer is an amazing organizational system for anyone who collects coupons. If you spend your shopping mornings going through your big old coupon envelope or sorting through your purse at the checkout line, you’ll want this handy tool.

The Couponizer is a small blinder filled with pockets all of your coupons. Each pocket is marked according to need. There are pockets for baking and staples, breakfast items, canned good – anything you need. Plus there are pockets for restaurants, the coupons that are about to expire, the coupons you’re about to use, even a pocket for receipts.

The Couponizer also comes with scissors, a carrying case, a coupon sorting mat, a shopping list pad and savings tracker.

One of the reasons many people don’t clip coupons is because it’s too much of a hassle, The Couponizer makes it less of a hassle. Once a week is all it takes to organize your coupons and then all you have to do is keep The Couponizer in your glove compartment and purse.

The Couponizer retails for $18.00 and is well worth the price.

by far, the best way i found to save $ is painting furniture! i bought a solid wood dresser for my dtr at a garage sale for $15, 8 years later and a couple of little paint jobs-voila! we have done the same by recycling my old wicker for her room and a beautiful wood bookcase. we had old solid wood furniture for my husband’s bdrm b4 we were married, it is now on it’s 3rd color and with a new set of hardware–our new master is gorgeous. we found an old & small dining room table at lowe’s, pd around $25 for it on clearance, painted and stenciled it with gold paint–it looks great. some times we even use some wood filler and sanders to change/update the facade on old furniture! an old enamelware cabinet increased in value up to $500 fr $50 with new hardware and paint. i could go on forever…desks, chairs, etc… i have saved us literally thousands of dollars on furniture and i promise, you wd never know how little i spent. thanks…

I love this, My best money saving tip. Leave hubby and kids at home. It is so hard to say no over and over again with those pretty eyes looking all sad.

  4. Kimberly Morghan says:

My best money-saving tip is to only collect coupons for the products you usually buy – that way you don’t end up buying more than you need “just because you’ve got a coupon”!!

  5. Tia Carter says:

    i hope i win

  6. Ashley Henley says:

    this would be helpful

  7. Megret says:

Gosh! I could share so many….like making your own instant oatmeal packets….doubling up on coupons and BOGO sales to get free items (or dirt cheap items)….going on vacation off season (we like to beach it in early May)….and combine errands all in one day to conserve gas!

Thanks for the giveaway! I would love this organizer for all my mass of coupons! ( meg.wilson@gmail.com)

  8. Teri says:

My best money saving tip is to combine coupon savings with in-store rebates and sales! I’ve gotten MANY things free or nearly free by combining all of the above!

  9. Mindi Weekley says:

I love coupons but, a lot of times the store brand is really a better buy than using the coupon. I really study when I shop. I do love my coupons though! I need to be organized a little better too. This would be great!

  10. Brian says:

Shop around and use the internet. Try not to make big purchases without looking around for discount codes

  11. Erica G says:

My husband and I share an entree when we go out to eat. It works out great for us. Most resturaunts have portions that are way too big for one person.

  12. Su says:

Register to be a member of brand websites for products you always buy (i.e. toilet paper products, ice cream products). You will be sent coupon offers, etc. that are of great help in saving!

  13. Jeanine says:

This would sure beat my envelope.

Online coupons, manufacture coupons, combined with store club discounts are always a big plus for me. And I ALWAYS do the rebates.

on a more sneaky note my hubby is a brand name snob, he has no idea that the Post Raisin Bran box that is on top of our fridge is only a box. I have been buying the store brand and just replacing the bag in the box for a couple years now. I just rip up the store brand box and throw it away before he gets home from work and he is none the wiser.

  14. Michelle B says:

My best money saving tips are that we use the minivan instead of the suburban when ever possible. We combine trips and I for the most part do all the errands on Sat. We are starting to use coupons and I am trying to figure out how to do CVS. We haven’t bougbt any new furniture for about 10 years. We have gotten second hand. I have been using resale shops for my daughters clothes.

  15. Shay says:

I’d love any kind of product that will make my life easier. I have a system for my coupons now, but would love to find something even better.

  16. LeahSB says:

When the Sunday paper comes I my kids and I clip the coupons and the coupons I get from my neighbor. I then meticulously file them in my rickety old coupon organizer and pair them up with all the weekly grocery sale ads. When our local grocery has double coupons I can easily spend a couple hours there but I come home with many free items. My last total was $222.63 and I paid $73.08. I also shop for my meat on Monday afternoons when they mark down all the meat that didn’t sell over the weekend. I buy in bulk and freeze it.

I signed up online with many brand name mailing lists and often get coupons through the mail which helps. I wish so much our local grocers would accept coupons printed online but they refuse to do so due to so much fraud. I could be saving so much more if they would accept them. I also watch for coupons when filling prescriptions. The last prescription I filled was a little over $11 and I got a $20 store credit. I keep restaurant coupons in my purse because you never know when you might need to stop for a quick bite. Usually 2 can eat for the price of one with most coupons.

I am an avid FreeCycler and Craigslister both giving and receiving. Why buy a new bread machine when somebody right up the street from me will give me theirs free? I also shop second hand shops for clothes especially for my growing boys. I recently got 2 nearly new brand name men’s hoodies for $5 and several baby items for my niece for $.29 each and they were in perfect condition!

I usually run all my errands all in one day so my gas consumption is extremely low. I rarely use trash bags. I prefer to use the plastic bags I bring home from the grocery store which saves quite a bit of money. I use my kids old t-shirts to wipe up spills rather than using paper towels and use vinegar and water in a spray bottle as a general cleaner.

The best thing is, I make my own frosties like you get at Wendy’s for just a few cents per serving and the kids love them!

Saving money is our house is fun. We keep track of how much money we save and every month we post the amount on our refrigerator because we are so proud of how our work pays off. Each monthly total is in the hundreds of dollars and each time we see that total it makes us want to work harder the next month to beat that total.

  17. Sarah Hirsch says:

For children’s clothing, buy at the end of the season for the next year’s size. Take advantage of great sale prices and stock up for the future – Old Navy has an extra half off clearance several times a year, and I buy my kids’ clothes for the next year for a fraction of the original prices.

  18. Amy R says:

Use your coupons at stores that provide double coupons up to a certain amount…

  19. Lara Aleff says:

I do my bill paying online to save money on postage.

  20. P Hafner says:

Mine is to shop by unit price and not on the actual price. Many times the bigger package is not the cheapest and sometimes the generic/store brand actually cost more than the name brand. I use the calculator on my cell phone to also figure out if using a coupon is going to make the item cheaper than the generic. We have also found that some items cost more per unit at a warehouse club than it does at the grocery store. Other times, the warehouse store beats any other deal we have found.

  21. Sherry says:

Oh I so need this! My Dollar Store coupon holder is falling apart!!

  22. Sandy R says:

I love this coupon organizer and hope I win.
My best money saving tip is to compare apples to apples. Make sure you are comparing the same size units. The actual cost may be less on the name brand if you look at size of the package and price.

  23. Ronda Clark says:

My money saving tip is to never buy at retail price. Wait for the sale.

  24. Terra Heck says:

I could definitely use this. I clip and use coupons but they are so disorganized. I could use something to help keep them in order.
I use my coupons when items are on sale so I get an even deeper discount. I also plan my menus around what is on sale.

  25. Linda says:

    I could use this…thanks.

  26. Georgina S says:

I love coupons! This is way better than they plastic bag I have mine in now!

  27. Kim says:

Always check the store ads for triple coupon days and buy one/get one sales!

  28. trudee carreiro says:

I really need this I am a big couponer

  29. susan p says:

    please enter me thanks

  30. Alison says:

Wow, you’re getting some great tips here! I’m a halfer — I use half the laundry soap needed per load, and I cut the dryer sheet in half before I throw it in the dryer. I only fill one of the two cups in my dishwasher with detergent. Everything is getting perfectly clean, and all my supplies are lasting twice as long.

  31. Audrey says:

With gas prices so high, here’s my money saving tip:

When you’re filling up do not squeeze the trigger of the nozzle to a fast mode. If you look, you will see that the trigger has three (3) stages: low, middle, and high. In slow mode, you should be pumping on low speed, thereby minimizing the vapors that are created while you are pumping. All hoses at the pump have a vapor return. If you are pumping on the fast rate, some of the liquid that goes to your tank becomes vapor. Those vapors are being sucked up and back into the underground storage tank, so you’re getting less worth for your money.

  32. kristina jones says:

I use a grocery list and go shopping without the kids so I have no impulse buys.

  33. Jim Anderson says:

My money-saving advice is to never, ever shop without a grocery store’s “savings card”. Even if you’re on vacation and the chains aren’t the same as in your hometown, it pays to take advantage of the members only prices.

  34. Laci says:

I plan my meals for each week with my coupons in mind. That way I don’t buy a whole lot of extra stuff.

  35. Sylvia Belle says:

    I love the coupons

  36. Tesa S. says:

I go through my coupons before shopping – ALWAYS, but they mostly stay scattered at the bottom of my purse. I really need this.

  37. Amanda says:

My friends love giving me coupons because they know that I am living on my own for the first time, and I need all of the help I can get. Whatever coupons I have for that week, I plan groceries around them! If there’s not a coupon for a specific thing I am craving, I don’t buy it! It helps cut down on impulse buys, and saves money!

  38. reeva says:

Thanks for a great giveaway! I hope i’m the lucky winner :)

  39. shawna says:

I love using coupons to save money and I could really use an organizer!! If I don’t have a coupon or it’s not on sale we usually don’t buy it!

  40. philip halter says:

    using coupons

  41. Sheila B. says:

I save money by making a menu for the week with whats on sale for that week. I have also learned to shop at two different store each week. Some things are cheaper for example cereal and frozen items at one store and at the other deli and produce are cheaper. This saves me a lot and I do all of my shopping one day a week and do not go back to the store until its shopping day again. A trip for milk can easily cost over 50.00 because for some reason I always find more to buy.

  42. Ed Nemmers says:

Coupons and price comparison yield the best savings!

  43. Don says:

I need so much help with my coupons….this would be great. Thanks for the contest.

  44. Carole says:

I bake virtually everything in our home from scratch. I’ve found that buying flour and other supplies in huge quantities (50kg bags of flour), 20 kg sugar, etc. has really saved me money – especially now that these things are going up in price with the cost of gas….I too only shop once a week. I use dry milk solids in my baking so that I don’t run out of milk before the next shopping trip.

  45. Regina says:

Combine coupons with sales, and don’t be afraid of the generic brands.

  46. Paula Harmon says:

(Its for Halloween, but) when you buy a costume for $40 and you have it the following year but of course, your kids wants to be something else: ask everyone you know what costumes they have stored away, and offer to trade or borrow. I have done that for a few years now and the kids are happy and so am I by not spending money on new costumes.

  47. kelli says:

Buy in bulk. But only if you’re going to use what you buy!

  48. kiyana says:

Buy on sale and stock up on what you can!

  49. Elizabeth Ray says:

Use coupons carefully. Is the coupon for something you need, or would buy even if you didn’t have a coupon? Calculate the price per unit with the coupon and without for all sizes. Is it cheaper to use the coupon on a small size, or to buy the big one? Does the coupon limit the size? Compare the price of the brand with the coupon to the generic without. Does your store double coupons? Or accept competitor’s coupons? Again, use your coupons wisely.

  50. Elizabeth M. says:

I used to save my coupons and not use them when the item was on sale. I figured I’d use them another time to bring the price down. I’ve since realized that using coupons on top of sale prices is the real way to do things. Saving every penny possible every time is the way to go!
