Helping Our Troops

I read a story this week involving some generous people. Leta Tucker has sewn 128 camouflage boot-style stockings to send to her son and his fellow solders that are in Afghanistan. Her daughter-in-law, Tami, and some other wives are working together to stuff the stockings with candy, toys, and other fun items for Christmas. They want to make sure the troops have a little piece of home this Christmas.
The stockings must be sent out in October so that Tami’s husband, Marc, and his unit can receive them by Christmas. Leta says that many of the soldiers don’t get packages like they should and they need to know that someone still cares.
If you would like to help stuff the stockings for soldiers in Afghanistan, mail

You can send money, hard candy, powdered drink flavors (Kool-Aid, Crystal Light) or fun little games. (FYI-Don’t send anything that melts.)
