Hilary Swank is Thrifty Too

Oscar winning actress Hilary Swank is thrifty too. She recently went shopping for cds in a Los Angeles store. According to sources Hilary was excited that she had a $100 gift certificate. Her purchase total was $99.58 and the cashier was going to give her a gift card for the 42 cents. (Silly, huh? Sounds like The Gap.) Well, Hilary did not see the need in getting a gift card for 42 cents so they called over a manager to get approval for her money to be refunded.
I find that great and a little funny too. When I stand in line to get the 57 cents that I was overcharged, some cashiers act like I’m crazy.
The point is, it’s MY money and they’re not entitled to it. Don’t feel embarrassed when asking for YOUR money back. Just remember, Hilary Swank values money too.
