Hope You’re Having a Merry Christmas

Hope you all had a great day today with your friends and/or families. We stopped at my aunt’s house Sunday for a Christmas get together. The whole family hasn’t been together in the same house in years so it was nice to see everyone. We’re at my parent’s house now. Unfortunately, my grandmother must be in a nursing home. We were able to go by and see her today.

Some random thoughts . . . I am thankful for the nursing home workers that were there to care for the nursing home residents. They had a game of bingo scheduled today. I saw some of the workers doing laundry and others getting medications ready to give out. I also passed by Walgreens. I’m thankful that they are open to accomodate those that must get medications today. Surprisingly the parking lot at Walgreens was almost full. I guess people are dying to get out of the house. I passed by Starbucks and was shocked that they were open today. There was a long line. Seriously, is it really necessary for people to have Starbucks coffee today? I also saw an ambulance and a firetruck zooming down the road. I hope all is well with that situation.

Hope you all have a wonderful holiday. I’ll be back to my thrifty ways later this week. See you then. Here’s a little song that I hope you’ll enjoy. :o )

Thankful that my love ones don’t have to work on Christmas! You’d think Starbucks could at least wait !

Safe travels Karen. I can’t wait to have you help me save money in 2008.
