I remember as a kid being dissapointed that we stopped that tradition! I really believe that "family time" is learned. It is taught to be appreciated by the parents. It is really great you are spending time with your son- it plants seeds early on that there's more to life and family than shopping, watching tv or eating a meal in front of the TV...good for you!
