How To Get Out Of A Ticket

I am a big fan of Clark Howard. I’m not sure how many of you have heard of him. He has a daily talk radio show dealing with finances. I used to listen to his show everyday on my way home from work. I have not found his radio show here and I really miss it. I do, however, receive his weekly newsletter for great money saving tips.
Today I was reading a newsletter from him and found an interesting and controversial topic for you. How many of you have ever been pulled over for speeding? I know that we are all guilty of speeding at some point and time. There are ongoing arguments about ways to get out of a ticket. Clark has some suggestions for you, which he got from a Smart Money Magazine. According to the article here are some suggestions:
1. Crying does work.
2. Display a sticker on your car saying that you give to a law organization or union.
3. Say that you don’t know what you did (play dumb).
4. When the officer begins to write you a ticket say, “Am I getting a warning?”. Never mention the ticket.
5. The best rule is to always be polite. Never give an attitude.
I do not condone wreckless driving, but if you find yourself in a bad place you might want to remember these suggestions. And by the way, today I found out that I can listen to Clark Howard online. You might want to check out his show too.
