How to make Vinegar smell better

August 2, 2008 by kellys

We have talked at length here at Thrifty Mommy about vinegar and the benefits of cleaning with it.  The most common complaint is how badly it smells.  Then I ran across this article from About’s Frugal living on how to scent vinegar and thought I would give it a try.  I put 2 tablespoons of vanilla in my vinegar water and it worked!  Now I am loving it all over again!

Thanks so much for sharing this tip. I love the way vinegar cleans, but my family always complains about the smell.

Great tip to get rid of the odour of vinegar. I told my mother to follow this right now. Thanks.

I infuse mine with fresh cut lemons, works GREAT!

My only suggestion now that I have been using it for a few days is to maybe use a little less. The article says to use oils but when you spray it, sometimes, depending on how much you use, you will leave a slight film on your clean surface. Just be careful.
