How Was Your Weekend?

I hope you all had a Happy Thanksgiving! Did any of you go out shopping on Black Friday? If so, tell us what you got and how much you saved. This is the time of year when my hubby and I sometimes buy a new electronic device that we want or need.
I confess that I did not go shopping this year. We went to Thanksgiving lunch at my brother’s house and then went to my parent’s house to stay the night. The next day DH and I left by ourselves (with no kids!!!!) for a short trip. It was great! I’ll post some pictures later this week.
I hope others found good deals.
I went to Toys R Us on Friday, what a mad house. We got there 2 hours after openning and the line was HUGE! There was a cottage for $50 off that I wanted to get my little girl. So I made sure they had them in stock still, they gave me a slip and off I went to stand in line. 45 min later, I finally got to the check out stand and she told me they were out. I got upset and talked to customer service rep and got the priced matched for another one when they get them in stock in a week. It was well worth the fight and the wiat in line.
Next year if I go to Toys R Us I will get there right at opening so maybe the line won’t be as long.
I found a few thikngs at Home Depot. They have great deals on Black Friday as well.
I was really disappointed in our sales or the lack thereof. Usually there are plenty of stores that have 50% off but I was hard pressed to find anything near that this weekend.
