I can understand why some people are clothing snobs

Little Man has had the same issue with socks that Turkey Butt had … They don’t stay up. I hate putting on socks only to see them come right back off. I can unfortunately totally understand why some people will only pay outrageous prices from places like Gymboree. The socks Little Man got as hand-me-downs from Gymboree are FANTASTIC! They never slide down. The ones from Target never stay up. I Just can’t stomach paying $2 a pair though. Oh well. Guess I will just have to be a clothes snob at the used baby store .

Have you tried Old Navy? $1.25/pair is better than $2.00 and sometimes you can get them for 99 cents!
I second the Old Navy idea, I got a bunch of pairs on clearance (about .50 a pair) and they’ve worked great for us.
Walmart is good for us out here. Target is next, then babies-r-us. Here in california, we have a place called Childrens place, where the wife does alot of her shopping..if not at target or costco
Baby Gap’s socks don’t roll down or come off either. I usually get them at an outlet for around $1 a pair, if not less.
I’ve had a TON of problems with Target’s clothes. It seems to be hit and miss – when it’s good, it’ll last for years. When it’s bad, you get to wear it twice if you’re lucky. Mostly, it’s been the latter, so I don’t buy clothes there any more. Wal-Mart clothes seem to hold up better. And I second the outlet shopping.
I had to laugh when I read this post. Once upon a time, when I only had one child to spoil silly (I now have four girls) I used to buy her Gymboree socks all the time. Well, I saved them for the second child, and now, honestly, my fourth daughter is still wearing some of my first daughters socks!!!! When school time rolled around this year, I went and bought them all Hanes socks. I also, I think it was in July or early August, bought them some socks from Gymboree. Now, I can no longer afford to spoil my children silly but I still like to dress them a certain way. I was able to afford the socks from Gymboree because I bought them on sale, and not only were they on sale, most were 99 cents, but they also had an extra 20% off so I bought socks for 79 cents. There were even knee high socks I bought for 49 cents!!! My kids grab their Gymbo socks first every chance they get. When they do have to wear their Hanes socks, there are tears of frustration because they never stay up or the toe seam is too thick
Yes, they really say this!! So my advice is to look in the bins next to the cash register for the socks that are on sale. They are soooooooo worth it!! And they last forever
I will do my best. Thanks for laughing with me, Chandrea. It’s so good to meet a relatively new name around here.
If socks are the biggest thing you’re a “clothes snob” about, I think that’s the least of your worries!
So what are you saying?
I love old Navy for that purpose, they are cheap! I have also been able to find cheap socks at the dollar store. After six kids, I gave up on the name brands lol.
