Iiiiiiiit’s Tax Time!

This is the time of year I dread. Tax time. Mind you, I don’t handle the family taxes. My husband the accountant takes care of all that. But since I started freelancing it’s become more difficult to keep track of receipts and expenses and everything else we need to write off.
I know, it’s late. We’re at the end of March. But my husband prefers to wait until the last minute, and since he’s the one doing the taxes I’m not complaining. I’ve heard tell earlier filing means a quicker refund, but I’m just happy to not have to handle it myself anymore.
How about you. Do you file early or late?

I complete taxes early and file on time – we haven’t gotten a refund in years (I’m a freelancer, too, so I pay estimated taxes all year, and if my income has increased the previous year, send the IRS another check in April — just hoping I’ve saved enough to pay for that check easily!).
