Kids clothing consignment stores
I was talking to Karen the other day and realized how lucky I am to live where I do. She takes her stuff to a consignment store and waits to see what sells. I have my used baby stores and just take my stuff and let them take what they want. I took some things to the local store this week.
- A wooden doll house
- An infant tub
- 4 stuffed animals
I got a store credit of $13.50. If I wanted cash, she would have given me $11. I was more than happy to take the store credit since I got more to spend and I will just shop there regardless. So today, I went to get an outfit I left last week when I didn’t have any cash and was going to use my credit. The outfit was, of course, gone. But I got a brand new pair of adorable Baby Gap shoes, a pair of Faded glory shoes, and an adorable dress and still have $3 left to spend. I was happy. The dress was more than I wanted to spend but I was in need of some winter dresses for Turkey Butt.
I was very happy with the exchange. I got rid of junk and got good stuff in return. Sounds like a win,win situation for all.
I love kids consignment stores! I actually shop in them more often than I sell, but I can usually get like-new name brand stuff there for my kids for dirt cheap! I just make sure to go to the ones in the ritzy areas, where people donate perfectly good stuff!
I agree. We have 3 used baby stores in town. I prefer the one in the suburb I live in and the one acorss town. Karen has a true consignment store. She has to wait to get her money when the item sells. My baby stores just pay you when you drop them off. The only problem is, they don’t always take everything you offer.
My little guys don’t get brand new stuff unless it’s for gifts. I love shopping at church consignments, second hand stores. Great buys and some of the stuff is brandnew!!!
