Mr Clean Magic Eraser challenge

Recently, I was given the opportunity to participate in the Mr Clean Magic Eraser Challenge.  The company sent me 2 tiles, marker, and a wooden spoon, a set of magic erasers, and a competitor’s cleaner.  Ok, so I am no so bright so I put the marker on both the tile and the wooden spoon.  The magic eraser took care of the marker on the tile and made a good effort on the raw wooden spoon.  Not sure I was supposed to use the spoon that way but I did :)   The other cleaner worked ok but reeked of bleach and I didn’t feel so safe using it wherever my kids would be.

Then I remembered the marker all over my wooden door goingto the bathroom that Turkey Butt decided last year to use as an easle.  It came off like butter on a hot knife.  I was sold since I had tried to use another cleaner and couldn’t get it off my door without ruining the protectant surface.  I liked the magic eraser before but now I am sold … hook, line, and sinker.

So thank you Mr Clean Magic Eraser for letting me participate in this little experiment and yes, I will be buying more erasers soon.

Stay tuned to next week to find out why.

They are great! Someone gave us a workbench for CP and it had crayon writing on it. The eraser took the crayon right off like it was nothing.

    Man you are fast!

Just wait, the magic eraser is the only thing that cleans the textured bottom of our shower. DH scrubbed the better part of an hour when I was visiting my mom and he was fed up. I whipped out the magic eraser and was done in moments.

My boys decided to decorate the stairwell with a sharpie. It’s not completely removed, but you do have to look to really see it.

  4. I got a sample in the mail over a few years ago and LOVED it – my kids were in the wall art stages then, too.

More recently, we found out that they clean outdoor plastic chairs (the ones that never seem clean) like…magic? :)

Yep, what a great invention! Takes crayon off anything and Sharpie off a lot of things. Also does wonders with lawn furniture. Just a word of caution, though, kids should not handle them because I have seen stories of kids scrubbing themselves with them and getting chemical burns. Great “Mom” product, though!

Ok, so I know I sound rude for even making this observation, but… Do you realize how much time you spend complaining? Why do you care how much Michael Jackson spends on his rent or how many bathrooms he has?? That’s his business…you sound like you have a full life, live it! Spend less time complaining and criticizing others…

    Just a thought.

  7. Karen says:

Amy: Actually Kelly doesn’t complain much at all. In fact, when I am the one complaining, she is the one that always finds the silver lining. She is quick to say, “Well, at least you have a car to drive.” or “At least you have your health.”

Amy, I am so sorry if the post about Michael Jackson came across as complaining. I am much more likely than Karen to talk about celebrity frugality or the lack thereof. That was my point … that if you have enough money, why not share it and do some good rather than completely indulge yourself over and over again. I simply can’t imagine spending that much money on rent.
It was supposed to be a reminder to be frugal with your money. Sorry if it came across as complaining. If he has it, please spend it as he wishes. It just seemed a bit much to me. But then again, I am not Michael Jackson.
