My Mother’s Day gift
I recently wanted to thank my moms for Mother’s Day. But then Mom of 14 made me think about what kind of daughter I was. My conclusion…
I’m horrible. I don’t even send cards. Instead, I do something more personal (or cheap depending on how you look like it). I always call my moms on Mother’s Day. I would much rather call and hear their voice than to just send a card. And that way, my kids can talk too. My moms seem to like it as well. We live so far away from all but my MIL, so visiting isn’t an option. We usually spend time with my MIL though.
This year is an exception. We will meet my MIL on Sunday and then we are visiting my mom half way across the country a few days after that. I asked her if she would except no card this year in lieu of a visit. She laughed and said yes. My dad will be able to meet my son for the first time ever next week. I am so excited. He is almost 10 months old now. So this will be a great Mother’s Day this year. Hope she doesn’t expect it every year. HAHA!
So thank you, Mom of 14 for the ultimate compliment. Hope my moms think so as well.
