Open Office: Free Office Suite Software

Soft computer keyboard

If you’re looking to upgrade or install office suite software, but find Microsoft Office products a little too pricey, consider Open Office. The Open Office Suite offers comparable products at an attractive price – free.

You might think a free product isn’t worth it, especially if you plan to use it a lot. I’m here to tell you this is as far from the truth as it gets. As a work at home Mom I have no complaints. Open Office has programs to rival Word, Excel, PowerPoint and more. Best of all, they’re all Windows compatible. PLUS there’s free online support if I need it (and so far I haven’t), set up guides and installation instructions.

If I have to nitpick I’d say the program is much slower to load, but since it’s free, I can’t complain too much. Because each program bears similar resemblance to their more expensive counterparts, you won’t need much training if you already know how to operate them in the first place. All in all, this is a great freebie.
