You know what place I love this time of the year? Oriental Trading. For those not in the know, they specialize in inexpensive gifts and craft items, sold in “lots” usually a half dozen or dozen. I love to get gift bags from Oriental Trading and even more, crafts.
My son and I make up over a dozen gift bags each year. Between my family, my inlaws, school bus drivers and teachers, we have a lot of giving. So I buy my goody bags in bulk, sometimes it’s cheaper at Oriental Trading than the dollar store, but I also buy kits. My son will make ornaments or bookmarks or other holiday gifts for his relatives. In Most cases, I can buy a lot of one dozen for about $5. Even with shipping it doesn’t add up to much, and with free shipping, well, life is good.

I too love Oriental Trading for the same reason you mentioned.
Happy Holidays.
Happy Holidays to you too, Kitty! Are you making some special things this year?
oriental trading is a great place to go if you want cheap stuff for the holidays, but remember, alot of it is probably made by cheap labor in some country that you’ve never heard of. some of the items there are cheap, yes, but overall have a greater cost to our world and society.
do i sound like some wise old guy? cuz its just the facts…
