Our prayers go out to the Bailey, Colorado shooting victims.

I would be amiss if I didn’t do something out of the ordinary at Thrifty Mommy. I am asking you to pray for the families touched by the Bailey, Colorado school shooting. This was not an “incident” or an “unfortunate event”. This was every parent’s nightmare. I have a 17 month old little girl that is not even close to going to school; but the thought of her going to school and being afraid makes tears well up in my eyes.
Thrifty Mommy is all about saving time and money to help our families run smoother. However, we need to remember that the families touched by this horrible tragedy will never have their homes run smoothly and in the same routine again. I ache for the effort it will take to hold back the terror that will fill the dreams of those girls in that room for the next few months or years.
I pray that the lives affected by this shooting will be healed in quick time. I hope that the families can be restored to a sense of security that I know is shattered. I also pray that we as parents will lift them up in the hopes that they will be able to move on and find a place in this world where there is no fear of what is coming through the door.
These families will need time to heal all the wounds that they don’t even know they have yet. I also am hoping that the media will keep the dignity that, it sounds like, might have been taken from these precious girls alone and not give the world private details that might have occurred. I pray that the families will be left to heal in private. I don’t need to know details to know that their lives have been shattered and that they need support right now. Not prying eyes.

I just don’t understand what this world is coming to. I can’t even imagine going through the horrible tragedy. Yes, they do need time to heal.

Thanks for visiting via Hsien. I agree that I can’t imagine what they are going through. And then again today, there was another shooting in an Amish community. I just pray every night that the Lord will keep my daughter safe.
