Our Thrifty Cat Bed

June 4, 2008 by Karen Weideman

Now that Cuddlebug is potty trained (woohoo!) I’ve been getting rid of some of his diapering accessories.  I was going to put his table top changing pad in my yard sale pile, but my cat decided to use it for her new bed.

She just lays there on the dresser, soaking in the sun from the windows.  At least this is keeping the cat hair off of my bed!  Looks as though my cat is being thrifty too by finding new purposes for old items.   ;)

Mr. Taz has decided that all baby gear is his-and that anytime it is unoccupied, it is his bed. Since we’re using the portacrib a lot more than the changing table, he’s changed his “spot”.

I even caught the kitten in the swing!

Our cats without fail take their afternoon nap on our changing table. I end up changing the baby on the floor. Guess who rules this house?

  3. Cecille says:

We have a changing table in the bathroom. We are planning to keep it there because of the extra shelf space it provides, but the cats have taken over the curved changing pad so there’s no way we could get rid of it. Sometimes I’ve found four of them napping together on it – it’s like a sea of furry gray and white blobs.

You DEWCLAW your cat!!! Why on earth would anyone do that?

  5. Karen says:

Sally: I’m confused. My cat isn’t declawed. I wish she were though. She keeps clawing my bed and sofa.
