Party Planning Money Saving Tips (Improvise and Be Venue Savvy)
Here are more tips for the Party Planning Money Saving Tips Series.
Improvise with Style and Consistency
This is the very first step to be able to survive a major event without causing major holes on your budget. Improvise what you can but make sure that it all falls within the bounds of a good theme. The major thing that will spell the glory or doom of your party is consistency. As you improvise, you have to have some level of unity or harmony on all of the elements in your party. Even if you hire the best bands and buy the best decor with all the money in the world, if they all don’t go together, it will all be a disgraceful waste. It is better to have some cheap wallpaper which go together than a mixture of metallic decors which do not really complement each other.
Be Venue-Wise
If you happen to rent a pretty expensive place, you will really have to have some higher budget. In organizing parties, be resourceful enough to be able to look up fairly decent areas which are free of charge to use for a certain amount of time. If you happen to have a friend who has a pretty good place for a reception, then talk to that friend and with this, you actually cut back on the costs of having to rent a commercial establishment. Remember, the money you get to save from the venue can be used for other things in organizing the party. You will definitely have more done with less cash to burn if you make this wise decision.
