Environment-Friendly PCWe all know that one of the most energy-eating appliances we have at home is the computer. Now that’s about to be solved.

Via Technologies, is working with UK-based computer manufacturers to produce environment-friendly ones. One of these manufacturers, Tranquil PC, produces personal computers that are made to be energy-efficient. According to Tranquil PC’s managing director, “Some of the Tranquil PC’s consume as little as 30 percent of the power demanded by systems from some of the world’s top PC brands.”

That portion is for the penny-pinchers. What’s for the environment-lovers?

Via Technologies collaboration with computer manufacturers also include a committment by Via to cancel out the environmental impact of PC’s. How is this made possible? Via Technologies also partnered with Carbon Footprint, a group in UK that raises environment-awareness through offering to plant trees and other activities to offset industrial carbon dioxide production.

More details about these power-and-environment-saving carbon-free PC’s here.
