Pottery barn trickery in my head
I am looking for blackout shades for he kids rooms. I can’t believe how much these things cost! I have looked everywhere and I refuse to pay more than $50 for a shade. I want to pay $25 but I think that is a little unreasonable. I can’t sew but am thinking about asking my MIL or my friend MM (my wonderful babysitter’s mom) to help. I might just get really cute kids curtains on sale somewhere and add the blackout material to the back.
Ok, so I was going to the Pottery Barn Kids site last night with MM and found exactly what I wanted. Cute kids blackout shades. I thought they were all on sale. Turns out we all misread the website because when I went to purchase them, my bill was over $300. Needless to say, I didn’t order it and called the company. Turns out, only one color was on sale and it wasn’t the one I wanted. So I didn’t get them and am now back to square one. The moral of that story is to read the fine print VERY carefully when buyinig online.
Oh, yeah, the DH didn’t like them anyway. I thought they were adorable and perfect for the nursery.

I did get the yellow ones for Little Man’s room for $30. Hardware and all.
