Lifeway has a great deal on the Prince Caspian dvd. You can pre-buy the dvd for only $19.99 (reg $29.99). When you pre-buy the dvd, Lifeway will also give you two $5 cards towards another purchase. This pre-buy special is good until December 1st. This is a great opportunity to save some money on Christmas purchases.

I don’t know if this counts as Thrifty of just plain cheap, but I always look at how a movie did in the theaters, and what (if anything) is actually offered with a pre-sale to see if I really consider it worth it.
In the case of Prince Caspian, for instance, this was a box office flame-out. I would expect this to be even lower priced well before Xmas.
Also, I never factor in the “value” of “bucks cards” as real savings since it is really just an incentive for additional purchases… but with terms and conditions.
