Quick Cleaning Tips

What do you do when someone calls and says they’re coming over in 30 minutes? I’m sure this has happened to all of us at one time or another. Sometimes it seems as though guests come over on a day where the kids have run wild and everything is a mess. Here are some quick tips to get the house in shape fast:
- Use a laundry basket to pick up miscellaneous items and store in a bedroom closet.
- Close all doors to rooms not intended for guests.
- Remove dishes from the sink or countertops.
- Clear off the kitchen table.
- Lightly dust the coffee table and other spots where guests will congregate.
- Vacuum high traffic areas.
- Burn scented candles in the bathroom and kitchen, or set out potpourri.
- Relax and enjoy your company.

I have to say your list is so easy. I am so glad I don’t have to do this. My dining table is my sewing table. This would be my 30 min clean up. Great tips.
