Ruth’s Chris and a great summer deal

So I have been hearing about Ruth’s Chris Steak House. I have always wanted to go but I have heard that it is extremely expensive. Now they have a summer deal that allows 2 people to eat an appetizer, main entree plus a side dish, and a dessert. Sounds great! I was thinking $50 was steep. Oh, no. It’s $89 plus tax and tip. OMG!!!!!!!!!
I’m cheap but I guess that is just not in my realm of reality. I am envious of those who can enjoy such luxuries, but even if I could, it would be a once a year treat. Not something that I would do on a regular basis. More power to ya!
I’ve been to a few different Ruth’s Chris locations and haven’t been at all impressed. Their food is good…but definitely not good enough to warrant the price tag. I thought maybe they could make up for the price by having fantastic service (it has its place!)…but no. I took a client and we both agreed that it was one of the worst experiences we’ve ever had in a restaurant.
I am so sorry to hear that! I feel that way about a local steakhouse. I have never been there without having to send something back. The first time I got pork chops there, the waitress asked me how I wanted my chops cooked. I said well done since it was pork. She said she recommended them medium. I had to send them back.
Who recommends medium pork?!?!
