Free craft patterns are a great way to save money, but the most expensive part of crafting is, of course, the supplies. Yarn, needles, glue, scrapbook pages, it all adds up if we’re not careful. Here are some great ways to save money on craft supplies.

  • Hit the Sales – It should go without saying that one should stock up on craft supplies when they’re on sale.
  • Garage/Yard Sales – Many times when people clean out and reorganize, they get rid of miscellaneous craft supplies. These types of sales yield lots of bargains.
  • Freecycle - One of the best ways to add to your stash at no cost.
  • Thrift Stores – Many second hand shops carry craft supplies.
