Great tips! I guess thrifty minds think alike, huh? 
On the tip to choose one or two stores and stick with them - it also pays to go to the stores you choose on different days for a few weeks so you can find out the mark down schedule. I used to think Food Lion was really expensive before I figured out that they marked down meats on Monday, etc. Now, it is one of my two main grocery shopping spots.</description>
