grocery cart This week, I spent more than $40 at the grocery store because I know I will be too busy to go to the store next week at all. So, it is still under $40 a week on groceries, but I bought it all today.

First Stop:

Weis (I don’t usually go there, but my mom really likes Weis and we went shopping together.) I am buying for visitors, too, so bought some things I don’t normally get. I spent a total of $35.59

Tetley British Blends $2.50 for 80 bags

Ginger Snaps $1

Cat Food $8.99 for the big bag

Fuze drinks 4/$3

Miracle Whip $2.09

Progresso Soup 4 cans/$3

Hunts Tomato sauce 2 29 oz cans/$1.20

And the splurges…

Stromboli $4.74

Apple Cake $4.49

Next Stop:

Food Lion – I spent a total of $19.99

Kraft Mayo w/olive oil on clearance free after coupon

South Beach Chicken Ceasar wrap lunches 5 for 75 cents each on clearance

Reddi Whip $1.69

(The next three were with coupons from the baby steps section of foodlion.com)

Lil crunch toddler treats$1.19

Gerber utensils 30 cents

Food Lion brand travel size wipes free

big bag of chicken tenders $4.99

Beef for stir fry 2.14 (75% off)

Lucky Charms 4 boxes/$7.46

Target – I spent a total of $16.54, but most of it was clearanced birthday merchandise at 75% off. I’m putting it in some extra Christmas stockings I’m making up.

The food item I bought was my brother’s must have Honey Bunches of Oats. Family size with two small boxes of Just Bunches cereal included for $2.50.
