I love doing that and am eager of cutting down - cutting down - cutting down. We are thinking abour purchasing a house, every penny goes towards saving for that - therefore, every hint and help on how to save more and better is highly appreciated. I live in Austria, we don't have your elaborate coupon-system here - I would be sooo much into it! Doubling them, combining them - sounds great! Well, I'll figure out other ways... I also accept yarn from friends who inherited too much and don't want to keep it. So I can make scarves, gloves and slippers with the only cost being my time! Also, I drive a scooter, so I get +100 mpg. I drive it to work, to the laundrymat (necessary evil) and grocery shopping. I save money now by combining trips away from the house into planned routes (for gas savings). If I'm looking for a specific item and am not sure a store will have it, I call ahead.
