In high school I took my girlfriend out for her birthday and when they brought the dessert out they said if I sang it would be free. I got up to sing and they all went back to work and said, go ahead, sing - we never said we'd sing with you! After making a complete fool of myself they brought the check and said the dessert was going to be free anyway, they just like to see if people will really do it.
