Stephon Marbury of the New York Knicks lends his name to a great shoe, the Starbury One

I can’t stand the new mentality of teenagers that says that if your shoes cost less than $80, they aren’t worth wearing. Who teaches these kids this? Whatever happened to the thrifty challenge of making your wardrobe look like a million bucks but only costs maybe $30. You hear stories about people being robbed on the street for their clothes, shoes, and jewelry. Why, I ask… Why?!?!?!?!
And then there are the stars that endorse a particular shoe that costs $100 or more. I won’t mention anybody by name :cough: Jordan… So when I heard that an NBA star of caliber, Stephon Marbury of the New York Knicks, was finally giving his endorsement to a shoe that was only $14.98. You read it right. $14.98. And the kicker is that some of his shoes in the Starbury One line are cheaper than that! Finally, a mainstream NBA basketball player lends his name to a regular guy’s shoe. Anybody can wear them and feel like they are wearing something special. The shoes look like an expensive basketball shoe without the price tag. The coolest thing is that the shoe isn’t a beasty shoe made cheap. Stephon will be wearing the shoes on the court. You can’t get a better endorsement than Stephon Marbury wearing the shoe on an NBA court.
So where can you get them? Try Steve and Barry’s University Sportswear. They have stores everywhere. Don’t live near one? That’s ok because Steve and Barry’s is online as well. Imagine that. Finally a sports shoe that anyone could wear! As a mom trying to make ends meet, I can’t understand spending tons of money on shoes. It’s just not in me to pay $100 for a pair of tennis shoes. So thank you, Stephon Marbury, for realizing that there are people out there with common sense who refuse to pay ridiculous prices for shoes. Now anybody can wear a well built shoe for a not so well built price.
Wow! $14.98? That’s good, especially considering he’ll wear them.
I think Stephon Marbury endorsing this is morally righteous. I don’t even know him, but I applaud him for doing it.
he shows a lot of class by endorsing these shoes. i am sure he is aware that many kids look up to him and don’t have a lot of extra $$, and he’s trying to be mindful of them. kudos to SM!

My son lived in chicago with his father for the first time for two years. Being teriffied he was thrown through a glass window and has thirty scars across his back. He was chased down many times. Now home with me in California, a single mom, he has suffered from Post traumatic stress and in counseling from the wars of the street life he experianced. Many young men he knew there are now dead. Mr. Marbury has brought a light into these young lives. My son is now anti-gangs, guns and drugs. Thank You
