Super Savings Saturday – Bread Machine

Money Saving Mom is hosting Super Saving Saturday today. It sounds fun, so I thought I’d join in. Yesterday, I went to Macy’s. I don’t know about you, but I do not think of Macy’s as a place a frugal loving person would enjoy. However, my mom wanted to do a girls’ day out and wanted to stop in Macy’s, so I told her I’d be happy to go. Well, I’m glad I did.
While I didn’t use their $10 off $25 coupon, which excludes anything electronic, I did snag a really great deal. I got an $80 bread machine for $26.99 because it was a floor model. I’m thrilled because I had $50 set aside for a really good sale on a bread machine because I’m not happy with the price of bread in the grocery store and wanted to make our own. (We used to make our own bread all the time when we were a family of seven, but the kids grew up, the bread machine wore out and we all just stopped.) So, I can use the rest of my bread machine budget to stock up on yeast and good whole wheat flour from the health food coop.
Have you ever found an amazing deal where you were sure you wouldn’t be able to bargain shop?

Beth,
Thanks! I’ve misplaced most of mine.
