It’s been estimated that it can take $284,000 to raise a baby to adult hood. That’s a pretty flipping high number. I’m betting you can lower it with some planning. Here are some general tips…

Never tell anyone your baby’s gender-to-be.
Start an emergency fund asap, I mean the second you find out your expecting, if you haven’t already.

Sign Up for Free Baby Products

Kelly’s recent breastfeeding dilemma caused me to do a little search for free formula. 
With my first pregnancy, the doctor’s office asked if I wanted to sign up to be on a mailing list to receive free products.  I signed up and was amazed at all of the free products and coupons I received.  For some reason, with my second child, the doctor’s office did not offer to sign up and I did not receive as many freebies.  I was really disappointed.
