Thrifty but satisfying birthday present

I am so excited!  I get to host a birthday party for 20 teenage girls on Saturday night!  I know you are all thinking I am crazy since I don’t even have a teenage daughter.  I asked my babysitter, MM, what she wanted for her birthday and she told me that she wanted her birthday party at my house.  I was surprised but said that it would be my honor to host it.  Granted, I will have a ton of cleaning to do on Sunday but she is worth it and I will have a ball doing it for her.  …read more

A baby sitting Co-op is a great idea.

We have talked about babysitting before and I have asked for your ideas on how to keep the magic alive with your spouse without having to cost yourself an arm and a leg.  If you are like my DH and I, we don’t have any family that live close enough to help out with this dilemma so getting creative is a necessity.  Swapping babysitting services with friends is a great way to work that out.  Another is a babysitting Co-op.  Blogging baby has a great article on how it works.  Not a bad idea.  Maybe we should try it out.
