I was talking to my sister and she said that you couldn’t pay her enough to get into the crowds in her state that weekend. You could not only pay me but you will find me there as well with no tax. Just like Black Friday. But that is another post. This year, there are some great tax free state shopping days. Here they are.

Old Navy has a good sale on the essentials for back to school. Their hoodies are $20-$25 (reg. $30), graphic tees are $10, etc… Enjoy shopping. If you have to spend money on school clothes, you might as well save some of it for something else. I am sure school supplies are expensive enough without a good sale.

FYI. Stride rite has another buy one get the second 50% off at the local stores. Somebody asked me one time why I blog on Stride rite all the time. They are more expensive than most shoes and kids grow out of them fast. All of this is true but I have a personal involvement in the brand. You see, I am 31 years old (and proud of it) and have a children’s size 2.5 shoe. So I don’t, unfortunately, grow out of my shoes as I have worn the same size for the last 15 years. I must have [...]
Post from: Thrifty Mommy

HAHA. Not to mention hat I have problematic feet. So I wear out my shoes extremely fast. So when I can find a brand of shoes that last me more than 6 months, they not only have to be a great brand of shoes but they save me money since I don’t have to replace my shoes every few months. It doesn’t get any more fiscally frugal than that for me. So I will probably always keep up with Stride rite even when my kids outgrow them and I don’t. The new styles this year are adorable.
