Birthday parties can be spendy, no doubt about it. It’s crazy how it all adds up because basically there’s not really too many components – food, activity, goodie bags, decor. There’s one way you can combine at least three of the components though and cut costs in the process.
For fun and savings combine the food, activity, and goodie bag components or at least two of each. For example…
Have kids decorate cookies or cupcakes at the party. Set a table out with all the necessary decor items – frosting tubes, little candies, sprinkles, and more. Have kids go at it for …read more

You all know how much I love to find a good clearance sale. The 75% off rack is my favorite. This week, I found some 75% off deals at Target.
I found several shirts, a pair of shorts, and a Dora dress. All were priced about $1.74-$3.25.
I found these Little Mermaid and Nemo stickers and tattoos in the dollar section. The large coloring pads with crayons were 75% off, so I paid $1.25 each for them (reg $5). I’m saving them for my kids’ birthdays, along with my other bargains.
After I left Target, I went over to Family Christian Bookstore and …read more
Turkey Butt’s birthday
Thrifty but satisfying birthday present
I am so excited! I get to host a birthday party for 20 teenage girls on Saturday night! I know you are all thinking I am crazy since I don’t even have a teenage daughter. Granted, I will have a ton of cleaning to do on Sunday but she is worth it and I will have a ball doing it for her. …read more

On my husband’s birthday date, we went to Cold Stone Creamery and found out that you can get free ice cream on your birthday. All you have to do is sign up for the Cold Stone Creamy Birthday Club. Unfortunately, we didn’t know about the free ice cream before his birthday, but my birthday is coming soon so I made sure I signed up.

Today is my honey’s birthday. Happy Birthday, Honey! This is a picture of him and our youngest child, right before we left the hospital.
DH and I have our spats, but I am so thankful for him. We have been married for 13 years. He goes to work each day, provides for his family, and he comes home every night. He’s not out partying or getting into trouble. Best of all, he loves God, me, and our kids. I am truly blessed.
