Carnival of Family Life #28 – Thanksgiving thoughts and feelings

Once again, Thrifty Mommy is excited to host a Carnival of Family Life. This week’s theme is Thanksgiving. A lot of you have submitted your favorite Thanksgiving posts and I hope I didn’t miss anyone. I love this time of year. I just want it to be about the right things. Thanksgiving should be about family and taking the time to say thank you for all the great things you have been blessed with. Most of us have a roof over our heads, a smile on our face (at some point during the day), and food to eat. That makes …read more

Blog Carnival of Healthy and Fit Families

From one Frugal carnival to another.

Speaking of carnivals, Dawn at Frugal for life has a great one going right now on frugal living.  I hate to say it but I missed the submission deadline so Let me just tell you that the comment on plastic bags by Papabear got me to thinking.  He is right.  Whether it is the plastic bag that you use for fruits and veggies or the Wal-Mart bags that multiply without being asked, we should never have to buy something to help keep the smell of a dirty diaper away.  Just drop it in the bag, twist it, and flip inside …read more

Still true to form, she loves to go outside. She will stand by the kitchen door and jabber about going outside. I even paid $20 for a pool from Wal-Mart for her to play in. Since I purchased it, though, it has either rained or been too cool to play. Finally this weekend she will get …read more
