Do You Have a High Water Bill?

Jennifer and Jim kept getting huge water bills. They knew beyond a doubt that the bills weren’t representative of their actual usage, and no matter how they tried to conserve, the high bills continued.

Although they could see nothing wrong, they had everything checked for leaks or problems: first the water meter, then outdoor pipes, indoor pipes, underground pipes, faucets, toilets, washer, ice maker, etc. — all to no avail.

One day Jim was sick and stayed home in bed, but kept hearing water running downstairs. He finally tore himself from his sick bed to investigate, and stumbled onto the cause of such high water bills.

Apparently this was happening all day long when they were not at home. Knowing that few would believe him, he taped a segment of the ‘problem’ for posterity.

Halloween Costumes For Your Pets

Halloween costumes are for dogs and cats too. I knew that some people dressed up their animals in costumes, but I guess I didn’t realize the extent until I got an email filled with animals decked out in their coolest Halloween get ups.

I really do enjoy it when my friends send me emails with the funny pictures of animals doing the crazy things they do, but I have to wonder a bit when I see people spending $50 or more on a costume for their animal.

Animal costumes can be thrifty too. I did some web surfing and found some costumes that are priced for $10 or less. The Cinderella costume shown above can be purchased at BuyCostumes.com for $8.99. Their website has a great selection.

The witch costume can be purchased at Costumes4less.com for $8.00.

There are good buys out there for the thrifty. You just have to do a little searching.
