Shopping for Next Year’s Summer Wardrobe for Your Kids

Now is the time to hit the stores for summer clothes for the kids. However, just because something is cheap, it isn’t necessarily a good deal. This is how I decide whether to buy an item:
Start by deciding on a price point. I pay $3 or less for shirts, $5 or less for pants and $4 or less for special items like swim trunks. Anything I spend that much on better be awesome – I tend to spend at least $1 less.

Frugal Fashion – Designer wear without the designer price
Ann Brown wrote an article at blackenterprise about how to buy designer wear without spending at a designer price. She recommends buying those clothing manufacturer “samples”.
Sample sales, where clothing manufacturers sell their “samples,” offer deep discounts–between 20% and 80% below retail depending on [the] designer or vendor. So you don’t have to be an heiress, singing sensation or a high-powered executive to afford designs by makers such as Vera Wang, Norma Kamali Randolph Duke and Badgley Mischka.
