I just received an email from CVS that contains a coupon good for $5 off a $25 purchase.  The coupon is valid on Wednesday, August 12 only.

If you are already signed up for CVS emails, be on the lookout for this money saving coupon which may appear in your spam box.  And if you haven’t already, you should sign up for CVS email alerts.  The printable coupons help save even more on your purchases.

I stopped into CVS to pick up a few free items there were advertising and left with all of this.

I stockpiled these for the winter season while they were at a rock bottom price. This is using the buy ahead principle to avoid paying full price later.
Second transaction:

CVS is having a great sale on tuna fish and soup.  Right now, you can get cans of Bumble Bee tuna fish, Campbell’s chicken noodle soup, and Campbell’s tomato soup for only $.50/can.

I stopped by earlier this week and picked up about 12 cans or so,  but I’m thinking of getting a few more.  Stockpiling foods when they’re at their lowest prices can really save a lot of money.
