We at Thrifty Mommy know that our readers are not just ladies.  WE love hearing from all you guys out there as well.  Lately, I have really been enjoying our conversations with JayMonster <wink>.  He keeps us on our toes around here.  So to all you dad’s out there, past, present, and future, HAPPY FATHER’S DAY.  You do all the hard work and we appreciate all that you do.  We couldn’t be the kind of moms we want to be without all that you do for us to back us up, help with the kids, and just love us in our endeavors.  So thank you and we love all of you.

Karen and I just wanted to wish all you daddies out there a wonderful and especially sweet Father’s Day.  I am terrible about mailing cards.  I don’t think it has anything do do with being frugal as much as it does laziness.  The way I see it, if I am going to spend $ on my daddies for Father’s Day, I want to hear their voices - not just send them paper. 

To my daddies, you guys are the best a girl could ask for.  I am blessed in very different but equally great ways to have both of you in my life and I am thankful for both of you.  I hope your day is quiet and uneventful.  Next to a visit from us, I can’t think of a better gift to ask for you.

To the father of my children, I hope you get a nap today and your daughter tells you she loves you out of the blue.  I could not have asked for a better father for them than you.  Enjoy your gift and use it often.  You don’t get enough relaxing time so I hope it helps.  I love you.

To all our daddy readers out there, get off the computer and take a nap or hang out with your kids or do just what you want today.  We will talk tomorrow.

Check out this easy and thrifty craft idea for Father’s Day.  We made these this week in my preschool class.  Last week I took pictures of the kids as they were holding a child size fishing pole.  Today we used jumbo colored craft sticks and glued them around the picture.  Then we used fish craft foam stickers and put them on the frame. The stickers are thrifty too.  I got a bucket of 300 stickers at Dollar Tree for $1.

Father’s Day is coming up and I am trying to find something to give my DH from my DD.  I have an idea which I can’t post here since he reads my blog but I am always looking for great advice and ideas.  Share your thoughts with everyone.  Some things that are popular are golf trips and t-shirts.  I am not into ties.  Sorry.  Some ideas have just been run too far into the ground.  Stay tuned to find out what I actually give him.  Who knows.  It might be one of your ideas.
