I received a Target sale catalog in the mail today called “splash into summer for less”. You may have received one too, but before you toss it into the recycling bin be sure to look on the back. Attached, you should find a coupon packet valued at over $55. You may find some of the coupons to be useful.

Don’t forget the scavenger hunt

We are always trying to find new ways to entertain our kids. If you are like me, you have more toys than you know what to do with them. Where do you put them? The kicker is that they don’t even play with probably half of them. Well, here is a fun little game that you can play with your kids that is FREE and entertains them for a while.

Take 10 or so toys that they don’t play with very much and hide them in a not so hard place to find. Then give them riddles to solve to find the toy. It’s a scavenger hunt that your kids will love to play. tell them that each week, one child can pick the toys to be hidden and make the riddles up to be solved. I love seeing their eyes light up when they finally find the last one and find the prize (not a toy but maybe playdough or candy or a treat of some sort).

Try it and see if your kids have as much fun as I did when we used to play it. I like it now because it is cheap fun.

Crayola Games for Kids

Looking for more stuff to keep the kids busy? Let me them play with this fireworks show at Crayola Creativity Central. Crayola also has many other options such as coloring pages, craft ideas, card creator, certificate maker, as well as many neat looking games.

We’re looking for more free activities to keep the kids busy this summer. If you have some ideas, please paste a link below. Perhaps I can look through them and put all the links together.

Have any of you heard of Brainy Baby? I found the site today and wanted to share it with you. Brainy Baby has early childhood videos, books, games and more. Their products are designed to encourage cognitive thinking skills and establish a foundation of solid educational basics.

Right now they are running a special. All Brainy Baby single VHS tapes are only $4.95 each. There is also a store locator on their site, in case you would like to go see their stuff in person. If you like Baby Einstein, then you’ll probably really enjoy Brainy Baby.
