Stores such as Target and Rite Aid frequently run prescription promotions.  A typical deal is that the store would offer the customer a $10 gift card for a new or transferred prescription that is filled in their store.  Most promotions usually require a coupon so it is a good idea to keep an eye out for these coupons in your local paper.

Whenever Target runs their prescription promotion, my mom gets extra coupons from her friends and family.  She has their prescriptions filled using the coupon, which gives her a $10 gift card for each prescription.  Then she uses the $10 gift cards for other Target purchases or for gifts.  The promotions are a great way to help your dollars go further.

I have been challenged to see how much I can save by using A Full Cup.  I am excited about using the online printable coupons and the information on coupon match-ups to find the most savings.  It’s a thrill to find food and toiletries for almost free!  I will be posting my A Full Cup savings later this week, so stay tuned for that.

Basically, the store puts a coupon in their Sunday flyer that gives you a $10 gift card with a new or transferred prescription.  When you get your new or transferred prescription filled, you just give the cashier your coupon and she’ll give you back a $10 gift card for that store.  FYI – You cannot use the coupon with government backed prescription programs such as Medicaid or Medicare.

Once you get your $10 gift card, you can use it towards other purchases in the store!!!  My mom uses the Target coupons to get the gift cards.  Sometimes she’ll send them to my kids to use as a special treat.  In return, I always send her my Target prescription coupons.  By the way, there was a Target prescription coupon in the sales paper last week and it doesn’t expire until June 9.
