Goodwill outlet stores save you money
I recently found an article on Goodwill Outlet Stores. You can buy clothes by the pound and save a ton of money. No pun intended. They are located in :
California (1)
Indiana (3)
Oregon (3)
Pennsylvania (5)
Tennessee (1)
Texas (1)
Washington (2)
Unfortunately, I don’t have one near me so let me know if you shop at a Goodwill Outlet store and tell us what you have gotten and how much you paid.

As cold weather moves into the Carolinas, the demand for clothing and other items is high. Goodwill donations are down and they need our help. Goodwill Industries of the Southern Piedmont is urging people to donate items to their nearest Goodwill retail store or donation center as soon as possible.
Items most wanted right now include coats, sweaters, men’s suits, children’s clothing, shirts, blouses, jeans, dresses, skirts, sweat suits, coats, shoes, and blankets. Also needed are small kitchen appliances, household items and electronics, including computers.
If you wish to make a financial contribution, please send a check to:

I love shopping at the Goodwill. Turns out, it’s not just an American thing. Collene Ford, lives in British Colombia. She stretches her dollar farther than I could imagine since I do like Wal-Mart. She has written a book, Thrift Store Guide for B.C., dealing with just that … where and how to find the best deals in the thrifty world. Take a look.
Collene Ford’s Thrift Store Guide for B.C. lists 243 charity-oriented thrift stores across the province, including three in Mission.

Thrifty shopping can be the most rewarding shopping around.
Where do you like to shop? I love to shop at the craziest places. My favorite stores are Old Navy during the middle of the week, Goodwill, and Once Upon A Child. I am sure that Stacy and Clinton, of TLC’s What Not to Wear, would have a field day or a heart attack in my closet. But sometimes, especially with KM’s things, I buy when I don’t really need things. Here are some great ideas on when, where, and what to shop for with a thrifty wallet.
