Working at home can seem like a good idea; and it can be. There are plenty of legit ways to make money at home, but be sure to check out the situation before you jump right in. It’s not very thrifty to spend more than you make- just to have the privilege to work.

Starting a business can be done without a big startup expense. One home based business you could probably start is a translation service. If you know one or more foreign languages, then you could start becoming a freelance translator.
You only need a computer, a modem, a fax machine, a phone and several dictionaires to start your business. Signup in freelance websites such as elance or search for “freelance” to get other sites where you could offer your services.
