What happened to the gas prices?

I couldn’t believe how high gas prices went right after Hurricane Ike. So I took this picture on Saturday. On Sunday, prices stayed put. On Monday, prices went back down to $3.99/gal. Today I paid $3.89/gal. I never thought I would be happy to pay $3.89/gal. It is so sad!

My family and I would like to thank you for all your prayers and concerns due to Hurricane Ike. They are fine. We still haven’t heard from one sister but I am sure she is fine. Turns out, I had to literally pay a price yesterday for Ike as well! $5.39 to be exact. Yep, you read it right.
Yesterday, when I went to work, the price for a gallon of gas was $3.49. When I got off 14 hours later , gas was $5.39 per gallon. Can anyone say gas gouge!!!!!!!!!

What to take with you for a hurricane evacuation
As some of my family have been evacuated and/or have voluntarily evacuated in preparation for Hurricane Ike, I wanted to let all of you who are in Ike’s path know that we at Thrifty Mommy and b5media are praying for your safety.
