Iced Coffee Day Tomorrow at Dunkin’ Donuts

I just wanted to remind you all that tomorrow is Iced Coffee Day at Dunkin’ Donuts. The price of a small 16 oz Iced Coffee will be reduced to 50 cents at participating Dunkin’ Donuts stores nationwide.

Five cents from every cup will be donated to Homes for Our Troops, a national non-profit organization that builds specially-adapted homes for injured veterans at no cost to them.

Dunkin’ Donuts Iced Desserts Recipes

Don’t forget about the FREE iced coffee at Dunkin’ Donuts tomorrow. In case you can’t make it or you want to make your own, Dunkin’ Donuts has been nice enough to share some of their yummy recipes with us. These recipes are by Stan Frankenthaler, Executive Chef for Dunkin’ Donuts.

All beverages can be garnished with whipped cream or topping of choice.

Very Merry Berry

3/4 oz Sweetened Raspberry Syrup (found at local retailer)
8 oz double brewed Dunkin’ Donuts coffee
1 oz of cream
1 tbs sugar
3/4 cup frozen mixed berries

Peanut Butter Bomb

8 oz double brewed Dunkin’ Donuts coffee
1 regular scoop of vanilla ice cream (1/2 cup)
2 tbs caramel syrup
1 tbsp of creamy peanut butter
1 tbs of chocolate syrup

Combine all ingredients in blender and blend until smooth. Pour into glass over ice.

Almond Joyish

8 oz double brewed Dunkin’ Donuts coffee
1 regular scoop of vanilla ice cream (1/2 cup)
1 tbs sugar
2 tbs pina colada mix or coconut cream
2 tbs chocolate syrup

Combine all ingredients in blender and blend until smooth. Pour into glass over ice.

Iced Chocolate Vanilla Cappuccino

1/2 cup sugar
1 cup water
3/4 cup sugar syrup
1 1/4 cup Dunkin’ Donuts espresso (Customize with chocolate and French-vanilla flavor shots or use 1/2 tsp vanilla extract.)

Bring water to a boil. Boil one minute and stir to completely dissolve sugar. Set aside to cool. Measure and combine sugar syrup and espresso. Place in flat bottom baking pan and place in freezer. Whisk every 20 minutes until frozen – color will lighten and texture will become “icy”. When firm, whisk and allow to freeze overnight. To serve: scoop into oversized cappuccino mug and serve with foamed skim milk.

Free Iced Coffee at Dunkin’ Donuts

On Thursday, May 15 Dunkin’ Donuts will be giving away FREE iced coffee. You can receive the free 16 oz regular or Berry Berry iced coffees from 10 am to 10 pm. I don’t know if you’ve ever had Dunkin’ Donuts coffee, but it is so yummy!

Dunkin’ Donuts is also partnering with a non-profit organization, National Police Athletic League (NPAL), which is a group that supports underprivileged youth through education, sports, and leadership opportunities as well as various community service projects. Dunkin’ Donuts is donating $80,000 to be broken up in increments of $5,000 over 16 individual markets to go towards funding their Youth Leadership Program.

Dunkin’ Donuts anticipates that they will give away nearly 4 million cups of iced coffee on May 15th. I’ll hope you’ll drop by and be a part of this fabulous event! Hooray for free stuff!
