This summer Grad Guard put together a pretty interesting list of the most expensive insurance mistakes young adult make when entering the workforce for the first time. If you’re a new college graduate obviously these tips will apply, however, even if you’ve been in the workforce for a while, it’s always good to check up on your insurance savvy. Man, I’m broke!
Funny title?!?! I was just thinking that if I didn’t have insurance, I would really be broke. My family has been to the doctor every week since July 1st. I added that up and our copays through next week will be a grand total of $240. That does not count whatever copay we will have to fork out for Little Man’s surgery on Friday. Thank goodness for insurance
I know health car is a huge topic this year on the political scene. I, for one, am glad for my insurance and thankful that we have it. We have been to the doctor 8 times in 3 weeks. I have a very sick household. My co-pay is $20. My medicine so far has run me around $70. I have saved over $200 alone on medications. I have no idea how much I have saved in doctor visits. Top 10 Reasons I Want to Lose Weight

Last night I wrote a list of reasons that I want to lose weight. Here’s my list so far:
1. To have more energy and feel better.
2. To live a longer life.
3. To not be embarrassed about how I look.
4. To shop in the skinny people clothes section. lol
5. To fight off diseases such as high blood pressure, diabetes, etc.
6. To set a good example for my children.
7. To look better for me.
8. To look better for my husband.

Money Saving Insurance Tips for Homeowners

Here are some insurance tips from one of my favorite financial advisors, Clark Howard. I especially like the tip about video taping your house and belongings. Great idea, Clark!
Figure out what limits you want on your homeowners insurance, and what value you need to insure, then call several insurers for quotes.
Sometimes you’ll get a better deal if you buy your homeowners and auto insurance from the same company.
Make sure you get a quote for insurance that would pay to replace your belongings, rather than pay you based on their depreciated value.
